I Heart You

heart-tarts-on-tray

Since you are reading this I want to sincerely thank you for stopping by.    The wonderful One World One Heart event has been an amazing and life changing experience for us.  We recently quit our jobs and moved to another state (yeah right in the middle of a recession) to emerge ourselves in art and soak up the healing and inspirational energy of the sea.   We took a tremendous leap of faith to make this move especially in the current economy.   When we arrived here full of hope and excitement, not too many people knew about our work.

But ya know what!  It is working out pretty well so far.  Our work is selling here and there especially the automata pieces (mechanical art works) and we have some gigs lined up to teach at art retreats.   I’m really enjoying teaching our local workshops too!  It looks pretty promising that I will be signed to write a book this year by a major publisher.  It’s not for sure but it sounds very positive and I should know the scoop on by month’s end.

So to say my heart is overflowing at this point would be exactly right!!!  I’m filled with gratitude of all that have embraced us and our art and of those we have discovered.  Little treasures each and every one.  All the sharing of art and love in the One World One Heart event is astounding.  Really.

I have been wanting to put up images of the heart charms for the OWOH giveaway ever since we decided to participate a couple of weeks ago.  We are giving away actually 7 prizes and 3 are heart charms.  We were hit with the flu all last week so absolutely nothing was done as far as art goes.  But at long last I cooked up some hearts yesterday as I was thinking about how fortunate we are and what a gift this experience has been.  Truly it is overwhelming but in a very good way.3-hearts-on-tray

We are offering an assortment of these hearts in our etsy shop and if you convo us and mention One World One Heart ~OR~ or email us (remnants DOT art AT gmail DOT com) and reserve one in our shop,  any heart is yours for only $10 plus shipping of $4  (in honor of Valentines Day on February 14).

Published?? Can I say I ‘knew you when’? I have just one comment….. howcome the time says it’s later than it is?? It’s only 3 something here but it looks like I posted tonight. Am I in a time warp? Maybe all of the snow coming down is affecting our reality of time! xoxoxo

Well it’s not definite on getting published but if this one doesn’t work out I will pester some other publisher mercilessly until they put my stuff in a book. : )

Yeah on the timestamps, I think the WordPress server is set at GMT or some such thing. I didn’t see an option to offset the time stamp on comments for our time zone. Kind of annoying actually. But I try to ignore it so for example, when we do our drawing on Feb 12 any entries after 11:11 PM *PST* will not qualify.
