Textures & Fun Images

Here are a few images gleened from my road trip to California and around my town with an emphasis on rust and peeling paint of course!  You are welcome to use these in your art (everything on this site is copyrighted unless otherwise noted).  So here is the “otherwise noted” part.

If you use any of these I’d love to see what you make so please share the link!  And if you’re not a member of the mixed media artist group it would be great fun for you to share them on there.  All are welcome so I hope you’ll come by and I think you’ll love what you see!

Here are some interesting things we saw while antiquing.

I did a little rearranging of the skull and items around this cabinet for a bit happier vignette.

Here is a book of Folsom Prison inmates in three poses– “as found”, without their hat, and finally shaved with the information on what they were in for and the duration of their sentence.  I would LOVE to have this book but it is quite spendy so alas I’ll have to do with the photo.
