An optical lens protects the serene sleeping Goddess inside who is partially obscured by the shell. The shell is “as found” on a beach in Bandon, Oregon so the hole was already there just waiting to provide a home and shelter for her.
The beads used are moonstone, opal, rutilated quartz, crystal and glass beads.
She Sleeps is also made of resin clay, paper and acrylic paint.
