Guitar Solow

You saw it first here on RemnantsOfOlde!

Our Miniature Pinscher, Solow, (as in so low to the ground) is jamming with his distinctive quirky style he calls the “tooth and nail street jam” and showing a deep knowledge of music theory. He’s got the chops alright (pork chops he sez).

I made this video while getting a little more familiar with our video editor and Woo Hooo! Looks like I’m ready to start posting videos on our soon-to-be launched Mixed Media Art ning site.

I’m so jazzed about this new site!!! It is free to join and the vision I have for this is it’s all about helping you to reach dreams and goals especially those of an artistic nature. I feel like this is a calling for me. I just have the strongest feeling that so many people will be helped by this. Every time I think about it I get really happy and am nearly brought to tears.

Anyway, the plans I have for it so far is it will have free tutorials, discussions on all kinds of fun and creative things, professional artist development stuff, scheduled chats, give aways, challenges and who knows what else will end up on there! And yes Yes YES!!! There will definitely be online workshops (wOOts) and even after class parties for our live workshops (squeeeeeeeeeeee).

Actually Charley and I are also really pretty psyched about these “after class online parties” that we’ll be hosting for each of our live workshops. This year that is Art & Soul in Hampton, Virginia and Portland, Oregon as well as Raevn’s Nest in Cedarsburg, Wisconsin.

Each after class party will have lots more things than we could possibly teach during the live class. So we will cover design considerations and various finishes and techniques, etc. and be there to answer any questions after the workshop is over. We wanted to do this because in my experience I’ve been a bit stressed when trying to learn as much as possible in class and then afterward still forgetting a lot of what I learned. So this way everyone can just relax and knowing they won’t miss anything.

And of course the online workshops we do will have tons o’ information too.

So back to the Mixed Media Art site can you believe that I scored this address . . . MixedMediaArt.ning.com . . . WOW!!! I couldn’t believe that no one snagged that yet!!

Here is a sneak peek at the site design courtesy of my fairygodmotherwebgoddessamazinglykindfriend Alicia at Digit 13. She really saved me from certain insanity since we got sick for six entire weeks and who can plan for that!!! So thanks to her help and a bit of other good luck we are catching up ever so slowly. Which doesn’t mean that the site will be up like even next week most likely. But at least there’s a really good chance it will be ready before we go to Hampton in about a month. And I would be really happy with that especially considering how bleak things were looking a few weeks ago.

So what do you think about my vision?!?!? Do you think it’s possible, nay, I say probable that magical and wondrous things will happen as a result of the intention and love pouring into this Mixed Media Art ning group with wishes for good things for everyone?!?!? There is a little poll below if you’d like to answer it and see what others also had to say.
